Screenlites Academy was started by Lara Warwick with a the goal, to share art and light with a dark world. Screenlites Academy started as a dream, and has now begun as as small reality. We hope to change the paradigm of Arts education in Australia.
To expand the academy and get more teachers on board.
To create interesting and interactive courses for students.
Establish ourselves as a not-for-profit Arts training organisation
Be sustainable
Promote Creativity, literacy and critical thinking
To increase our membership and create a self governing community.
To promote the work of students artist to allow them to establish their craft and their business.
Provide rigorous courses and training for a media literate generation.
Establish a training organisation for homeschool students to end their time with a certificate.
Arts collectives bring together students and practitioners in various art forms, to create a small community of people united by their love for art. It works like a sports club. They are usually an artist-run, not-for-profit organisation that supports and promotes artists and students. We also promote media literacy and education as fundamental goals of our academy
We endeavour to provide some fun free activity pages and downloads for our community
You can also join us on our literacy journey through our Screen Literacy Blog.

Students and members are expected to abide by our values listed above. We try to be respectful towards others in our community and value each person's contribution. We all have a light and hope to share with others. Let's shine brightly!
We try to love each other even when it is hard. Forgiveness is crucial. That being said, a conversation would be had with person breaching the values- we all have bad days. If a pattern emerges, the director would notify the person about their consistent breach of the values and come up with a course of action. If necessary, in a serious situation, the person would be banned from the academy and blocked from further courses.
Whether you want face-to-face seminars, video demonstrations, virtual reality or self-paced modules, we have you covered. Our courses blend many delivery styles to ensure the best learning environment for visual and creative thinkers. They offer practical projects and the chance to connect with others. .
We know that learning is easier when you have a great teacher. That's why our instructors are passionate about the subjects they teach and bring this enthusiasm into their workshops and courses. Instructors are highly-trained, registered teachers with experience in schools and homeschool settings.
Whether you're in the Perth metro area or Northern WA you can take this learning with you. All our high school courses are mapped to the Australian Curriculum. You can share your light wherever you are.
Our courses are affordable and we allow you to barter for some of your lessons, so everyone has a chance to participate. Contact us to find out how.
