Flame and Illuminate courses go for 10 weeks. As the course teaches skills relevant to the arts industry we believe it is important for students to practice their skills and get feedback from instructors. 10 weeks allows us the time to do this. Feedback is an important part of the Arts process. Lamplighters level courses go for 15 weeks like a more traditional yr 11/12 course.
Yes, Each student will get an 'assessment' rubric which gives information about their progress during the project. It is not an official marks based assessment, it just
gives information about a students contribution to learning and concepts covered. Along with course mapping, you will be able to show this to your moderator. We do not guarantee that Moderators will accept it, each moderator is different. We recommend taking pictures of yourself or your child completing some of the activities or projects to add to your moderation file.
There will not be formal exams, but may be some quizzes or reviews to check on knowledge and understanding.

For students in the Perth metro area, we aim to have some in-person classes or workshops to help with group work and production skills, However we are still investigating options and venues and it may be some time before this is set up , but while we get set up we will be online to keep things consistent. For online classes, we will have a zoom component.
